2024 Board of Directors Election Timeline

Nominations are open until August 31, 2024, annually

Click here for the nomination packet. You can nominate yourself or another member. If you nominate another member, they will need to be willing to run in the election and agree to the conditions in the nomination packet. 

  • Year round - Nominations packets available on the organizational website, in the office, and via email request
  • August 31, 2024 – Nomination period close
  • First week of September – Ballot packets mail out
  • October 25, 2024 – Return postmark date
  • Last week of October – Tally ballots


Elected Directors will be seated at a board meeting the first week of November with board training to follow.

2024 RSDA Drift Election Timeline

  • May 1, 2024 – Notice of Election, per AS 43.76.375 (b)(5)
  • August 30, 2024 – Notice of public meeting, Cordova Times
  • September 1, 2024 – Notice of public meeting mailed to Certified CFEC Permit Owner list
  • September 1-7, 2024 – Notice of public meeting posted in Cordova Labor Union Hall bulletin window, Cordova Harbormaster bulletin board, Private Permit Holder Facebook group, CR/PWS MA member website
  • September 6, 2024 - Notice of public meeting, Cordova Times
  • September 13, 2024 – Public meeting, 7:00 pm Cordova District Fishermen United Board Room
  • September 16, 2024 – Notice of Election mailed to Certified CFEC Permit Owner list
  • September 16, 2024 – Notice of Election posted in Cordova Labor Union Hall bulletin window, Cordova Harbormaster bulletin board, Private Permit Holder Facebook group, CR/PWS MA member website
  • September 23, 2024 – RSDA Election 1st Ballot mailed out
  • September 24, 2024 – Notice of Election posted in Private Permit Holder Facebook group
  • September 30, 2024 - RSDA Election 2nd Ballot mailed out, Notice of Election posted in Private Permit Holder Facebook group
  • October 15, 2024 – RSDA Ballot postmark date
  • October 25, 2024 – RSDA Election close date
  • November 8, 2024 – RSDA Election certification date
